Design of the Complete Bible for the 102nd German Catholic Convention in Stuttgart
I designed a complete Bible for the 102nd German Catholic Convention in Stuttgart. The cover design features, on one side, the Cross of Christ representing the New Testament, as well as a stylized depiction of the beginning of the Book of Genesis in Hebrew. The text is set within a golden triangle. This triangle serves as a bridge to the St. Martin vestments I designed for Rottenburg Cathedral, which are also worn during church services. The central theme here is that God’s mercy is made visible through the sharing of the cloak. I have sought to capture the act of sharing in these vestments.
