NJK 2007 - Dynamid Waltz

Floral lightness in baroque garden splendour.
Light, summery costumes were designed for the Dynamiden Waltz, reflecting the floral textile furnishings of the Hof Castle location and, above all, the splendour of the park colours.
For each dancing couple a colour was chosen from the variety of flowers. The light silk mousseline dresses pick up Empire and Early Biedermeier stylistic forms, a romantic style preferred for classical ballet.
The dresses were hand-painted with different flower tendrils. The designs are inspired by Maria Theresa's bed in Hof Palace. For the men, matching floral embroidery was chosen for the waistcoats.
